CRIME OF THE WEEK FOR MARCH 31, 2008

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a burglary to business report. Sometime between the dates of March 7th, and March 18th, a business located in Camp Point was entered. Items taken from the business included jewelry, coins, wallets, and U.S currency. The value of these items is over $2,000.

CRIME OF THE WEEK FOR MARCH 24, 2008

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a robbery. On March 23rd at approximately 3:00 a.m., a male wearing a ski mask, black jacket and black jeans, entered the back door at the Steak and Shake in Quincy . The man implied that he had a weapon and demanded money. The man was given an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency and he fled the area. The man was described to be 6 feet tall with a medium build.


CRIME OF THE WEEK FOR MARCH 17, 2008

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers and BNSF needs your help in solving a vandalism and derailment of a train in Golden, IL on March 12, 2008. A 14 ft. used Switch Tie was placed across the train tracks causing the train to derail. The locomotive, Switch, Switch Heater, and train tracks were all damaged. The damage caused by these vandals exceeds $100,000. BNSF Railway is offering a reward amount up to $1,000.


CRIME OF THE WEEK FOR MARCH 10, 2008

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a theft report. Sometime between February 9, 2008, and February 11, 2008, a junkyard located in the Liberty area had some items taken without permission. Items taken include: radiators, taillights, tailgates, and a brush guard. These items are valued at more than $300.

 

CRIME OF THE WEEK FOR MARCH 3, 2008

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving numerous reports of criminal damage to vehicles during the overnight hours of February 22nd and 23rd and again between February 29th and March 1st. There were at least 12 reports between the 22nd and 23rd and in excess of 10 reports between the 29th and 1st . Tires, window glass, and mirrors were damaged on the vehicles. The locations of these vehicles were mostly south of State Street and west of 12th Street in the southwest part of Quincy .


CRIME OF THE WEEK FOR FEBRUARY 24, 2008

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving several thefts that occurred on October 24th at local Farm and Home Supply stores. Two Hispanic males and a Hispanic female entered the store during normal business hours and stole approximately $5,000.00 worth of K-9 Advantix Flea and Tick treatment and Front Line Plus Flea and Tick treatment from a locked cabinet on the showroom floor.

Also on October 24, the same three suspects entered Farm and Home Supply stores located in Jerseyville, IL , Pittsfield, IL , and Jacksonville, IL , during normal business hours and stole K-9 Advantix and Front Line Plus from locked cabinets on the showroom floor. The loss from the three other stores totaled approximately $6,000.00.

On October 25th, the same three suspects entered the Farm and Home Supply store in Springfield, IL but immediately left the store when they found the cabinet normally used to store the flea and tick treatments empty.

The suspects are described as follows:

Suspect #1 – Hispanic male with large build, age appears to be mid to early thirities

Suspect #2 – Hispanic male with large build, age unknown, carrying a Chihuahua dog

Suspect #3 – Hispanic female with large build, age unknown, wearing a black shawl

CRIME OF THE WEEK FOR JANUARY 14, 2008

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a case of cruelty to animals. A mixed breed dog was found in the area of 12th and Vermont Street in Quincy on Sunday, January 6th . The dog had been shot 29 times with a bb gun. Many of the shots were to the dog's head. The dog survived, but may lose an eye due to the shooting.

CRIME OF THE WEEK FOR JANUARY 7, 2008

Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving criminal damage to mailbox reports filed with the Adams County Sheriff's Department. During the overnight hours of January 5, and January 6th numerous mailboxes in the area of South State Road in Mendon were damaged.


CRIME OF THE WEEK FOR DECEMBER 31, 2007

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a burglary to a vehicle. This occurred on December 22 between 3:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. in the 1700 block of 12th Street in Quincy . A vehicle was entered by breaking a window and a purse and its contents were taken from inside the vehicle.

CRIME OF THE WEEK FOR DECEMBER 3, 2007

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving multiple criminal damage to vehicles that occurred in the 900 block of Lind Street, 1100 block of Chestnut and 1400 block of Seminary Road in Quincy . Sometime between 3:30 p.m. on November 21 and 7:30 a.m. on November 23rd. Multiple vehicles had windows and lights broken out.


CRIME OF THE WEEK FOR NOVEMBER 5, 2007

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help solving a rash of thefts involving duck decoys and hunting equipment. During the week of October 28th thru November 4th numerous hunting equipment was taken from camps located near Knapheide Road and Point Pleasant Road in the North Bottom Road Area of Quincy. Several thousand dollars worth of equipment was taken from this area including duck decoys, ammunition, and other hunting equipment.

CRIME OF THE WEEK FOR OCTOBER 22, 2007

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving numerous Criminal Damage Reports filed with the Quincy Police Department. Sometime during October 15th thru October 24th, vehicles have been spray-painted and windows have been broken out on parked vehicles.

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a burglary to a business that occurred in the 600 block of Spring Street in Quincy during the overnight hours of 9-19 and 9-20. Someone forcibility entered a business and took over $3200.00 worth of stereo equipment. If you have any information on this crime, please give our hotline a call at (217) 228-4474. CRIME OF THE WEEK FOR SEPTEMBER 24, 2007

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a residential burglary and criminal damage report. Sometime between the dates of September 14th and September 17th a house was entered in the rural Liberty Area. Items were taken and entry was gained by prying a door to the residence open. Once inside suspect(s) set off fire extinguishers, broke several windows and caused significant damage to the house.

CRIME OF THE WEEK FOR SEPTEMBER 3, 2007

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a theft over $300. Sometime between August 24th and August 26th, someone took a 3500 Watt Champion portable generator from the area of 100 West Douglas Street in Liberty. The generator is yellow in color and valued at more than $300.


CRIME OF THE WEEK FOR AUGUST 20, 2007

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a burglary and theft over $300 report in Adams County . This occurred in the 3600 block of Harbor Lane between August 17th at 11:00 a.m. and August 18th at 11:15 a.m. A residence at this location is under construction and several contractors and the homeowner are victims of this crime.

Numerous power tools, hand tools, air compressor, nail guns; hoses were taken from the residence. In addition to the tools, numerous coils and spools of different wires were taken. The suspects pulled out hundreds of feet of wiring that had already been installed in the residence. The loss in the tools alone was over $8300.00.

CRIME OF THE WEEK FOR AUGUST 13, 2007

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a theft report filed with the Adams County Sheriff's Department. Sometime between the dates of July 31st and August 1st , Yard Ornaments were taken from a residence located in the 4900 block of Hanley Road in Quincy . The yard ornaments weighed around 30 lbs and were taken in the overnight hours on these dates. A Dutch boy and girl yard ornament red in color were missing.

CRIME OF THE WEEK FOR AUGUST 6, 2007

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a criminal damage report filed with the Adams County Sheriff's Department. Sometime between the dates of July 7th and July 12th, property located near E 1700th and 1073rd lane was damaged. There was a no trespassing sign that had been knocked down and a metal gate that was anchored into the ground that also had damage.

CRIME OF THE WEEK FOR JUNE 25, 2007

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a burglary to a construction site. Sometime between 6:00 p.m. on June 24th and 1:00 p.m. on June 25th , someone forcibly entered a home under construction in the 7500 block of West Court Way in Payson , IL . Over $5000.00 in assorted tools and power tools was taken from the site.

CRIME OF THE WEEK FOR JUNE 11, 2007

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a theft report. Sometime between April 4th , 2007, and May 3rd , 2007, someone took a Black Hallmark trailer that was parked at Quincy Electric and Sign in Quincy . There were numerous items taken along with the trailer including 3 rifles, Nintendo video games and systems, kitchen appliances. The trailer is 2006 black Hallmark and is 7x7 14-foot trailer. These items and the trailer are valued at over $18,000.

CRIME OF THE WEEK FOR JUNE 4, 2007

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a theft report. Sometime between May 20th and 21st , someone took a red and black Toro lawnmower from Lowes in Quincy . This mower was valued at over $4000.00.

CRIME OF THE WEEK FOR MAY 21, 2007

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a Burglary to Motor Vehicle report filed with the Adams County Sheriff's Department. On Tuesday May 1st , a vehicle parked in the 1900 block of Highway 61 near Loraine was entered. Taken from the vehicle were a JVC Stereo, 2 Sony Xploid Subwoofers, 1 Sony Amplifier, and a grey box containing the stereo equipment. These items are valued at more than a $1000.


CRIME OF THE WEEK FOR MAY 7, 2007

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving Criminal Damage to Property report. Sometime during the first week in May, two windows were broken out at a business on 517 Kentucky . Also three mirrors were broken off a semi, which was parked behind the business.

, 2007

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a Theft report filed with the Adams County Sheriff's Department. Sometime on April 24, 2007, a piece of farm equipment was taken from a residence in the 100-block area of Bay Drive in Quincy . Taken was an antique piece of farm equipment, red in color, used for cutting hay. The item was valued at over several hundred dollars.

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a Burglary to motor vehicle report filed with the Quincy Police Department. Sometime during the overnight hours of April 12-13, 2007, five vehicles parked in the 1100 block of North 15th and the 1500 block of Spruce were broken into. Items taken include an HP PDA and HP personal address book, a black hooded Carhart jacket, compact discs and a set of keys. All also reported cash being taken from, including $50.00 from one of the vehicles.

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a Burglary to motor vehicle report filed with the Adams County Sheriff's Department. Sometime between March 1st and March 8th a vehicle parked in the 800 block of North 54th Street was entered. Items taken from the vehicle included: A Sony DVD player, a Concept DVD Screen, and Black Tack gauge. The items are valued at over $2500 dollars.


CRIME OF THE WEEK FOR APRIL 9
, 2007

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a Burglary to Business Report filed with the Quincy Police Department. This burglary occurred on January 31st between midnight and 1:00 a.m. at Save-A-Lot Foods located at 12th and Locust in Quincy . The suspect broke out the front door glass, entered the business and took several cartons of cigarettes.

CRIME OF THE WEEK FOR APRIL 2, 2007

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a Burglary to Residence Report filed with the Adams County Sheriff's Department. Sometime between the dates of March 16 and March 22nd , a garage located in the 2100 block of South 39th street in Quincy was entered. Taken from the garage was a black in color Motor Guide Stealth Trolling motor, along with a Deep Cycle Marine battery. The items are valued at over $300.

CRIME OF THE WEEK FOR MARCH 26, 2007

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a Burglary to Motor Vehicle Report filed with the Quincy Police Department. Sometime between the hours of 8:00 pm and 11:00 pm on March 8, a vehicle located between 12th and 14th street on Hampshire in Quincy was entered. A car stereo was taken from the vehicle. The car stereo is valued at over $200.


CRIME OF THE WEEK FOR MARCH 19, 2007

The Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a Burglary to Motor Vehicle Report filed with the Adams County Sheriff's Department. Sometime during the overnight hours of March 9 – 10, a vehicle parked in the 300 block of South Elm in Clayton was entered. Tools located in a toolbox were taken which included Craftsman tools and Snap On tools. Items included hammers, sockets, and socket sets valued at between $800 - $1000 dollars are missing from the truck.
